Hi I am trying to get sponsor for my son Jonathan Thurston who is only 6 he is doing a 500m swim for Diabetes uk, he wanted to do the swim at wakefield in the Swim for all event on 10th July 2011 but is too young so has been allowed to do the swim at his local baths, he is such a sport, so careing and thoughtful, he does lots for charity, Diabetes is especially close to our hearts as granny and other family members have type 1. here are a couple of links to his pages, if you can help or know of others than can help please could you forward! many thanks Sarah Thurston.

Hi kittykat13,

That is great to see, I would love to know how much you guys manage to raise through his swim so please be sure to keep us updated!

If more people were able to support diabetes like Jonathan does you never know what the future may bring, maybe even a cure which is what I know JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) are working towards.

My message to Jonathan is to keep up the excellent work!

Jonathan s a little star and we are so proud of him, I will deffinately ley you know how he gets on, he has made £230 so far on the Just giving page o with offline donations we hope to bump that up quite a bit!
