I am new to all of this and having a very difficult time learning exactly what to eat and what not too. Is there someone out there who can fill me in on good and bad foods. I have for years been in pre-diabetes status but now it appears that my sugar is up all of the time. When I call myself eating right my sugar really wants to go crazy. I am totally lost, please help!!!

Eat fruit in that they fit into your calorie guidelines you have for yourself. They are rich in fiber and most have a low GI, because the fiber content. The only time I think he is authorized to cut the fruit completely, is that if you cut for a show, simply because most of the carbohydrates are then coming from vegetables.

Hey man, it is confusing at first, but hang in there. I lost someone close to me years ago due to lack of understanding and knowledge about diabetes. Here is some REALLY GOOD NEWS. What you eat and what you do are the keys to controlling diabetes. Please take the time to do some research. My partner was diagnosed with type 2 about 4 years ago. 7 months ago he was 20 pounds overweight, wasn't eating correctly, and his blood sugars were consistantly high. Today, he is 20 pounds lighter, eats the way we all should, is off of most of his meds, and is likely to be completely off of them soon, as his blood sugars are terrific! Please learn about low GI carbs, the right foods to eat, and exercise. Good luck, and good health! Hope this helps.
